“There’s no story so good a drink won’t make it better.”

Winter is here! Yesterday, Diageo unveiled the new White Walker by Johnnie Walker blended scotch and the “Game of Thrones” Single Malt Scotch Whisky Collection. Inspired by the iconic television show, the limited-edition scotches are here just in time to hold fans over for the long-awaited final season of “Game of Thrones,” airing in early 2019.

White Walker by Johnnie Walker is the first available offering from the limited-edition scotch collection. A small team of expert blenders innovatively combined a mixture of single malts from some of Scotland’s northernmost distilleries where whiskies have endured long, harsh winters.

The special blend of White Walker by Johnnie Walker has notes of caramelized sugar and vanilla, fresh red berries and orchard fruit. The scotch is best served cold for taste, but there’s another reason fans should freeze the bottle. By utilizing temperature-sensitive thermochromic ink, a secret message will make an icy reveal once frozen. This is a whisky for the land of always-winter.

The “Game of Thrones” collection features eight scotches. Each has its own unique characteristics and is paired with one of the Houses of Westeros, as well as the Night’s Watch. The collection ranges in price from $30 to $65 and in ABV from 41.7 to 51.2 percent.

This certainly isn’t the first “Game of Thrones”-inspired alcohol venture. Other notable franchise-based releases included a “Game of Thrones” wine collection and beer collection, as well as a “Game of Thrones” pop-up bar.

If you enjoy drinking from home, pick up a bottle of White Walker from Johnnie Walker and play the “Game of Thrones” drinking game.
