There’s no better way to celebrate Negroni Week than to kick back, relax and enjoy a $1,000 version of the classic Italian cocktail.
Yes, you read that right.
Through June 11, Lot 45 in New York City is offering customers The $1,000 Negroni. The luxurious version of the drink combines Gran Patrón Platinum tequila (which retails for $200 per bottle), Campari and Carpano Antica Formula vermouth, but the drink’s flair is really where the price jumps.
The bar garnishes the drink with rare, shaved black truffle from Italy and a thin orange peel boat filled with handmade cocktail caviar and rich Caluisius Siberian caviar. Finally, a dash of edible platinum flakes are added and the cocktail is smoked with applewood smoking wood chips to enhance the flavor while the bartender is ringing up your $1,000 tab.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Muttville, a nonprofit dedicated to the care and support of senior dogs.
Launched in an effort to raise money for charities around the world, Negroni Week has exploded from 100 to 6,000 participating venues worldwide over the last four years with $900,000 raised.
