What’s the next step after launching a successful rap and acting career at the age of 13? You got it: a booze brand.
Shad Moss (aka Bow Wow) is in the process of launching his very own spirit, NDI Vodka, making him the youngest rapper to own his own liquor brand. The 28-year-old, who also stars on CBS’s CSI: Cyber, is but one in a long line of rappers to get involved in the business, including Sean “Diddy” Combs (Cîroc Vodka), Pitbull (Voli Vodka), Snoop Dogg (Cuca Fresca Cachaça) and Ludacris (Conjure Cognac).
The news came just as the rapper celebrated his 28th birthday last weekend, and after he announced at this year’s BET Awards that he’ll be dropping his well-known moniker to go by his real name.
Of course, Moss reportedly toasted his birthday with the new vodka, a small-batch spirit that’s distilled four times and made from 100 percent corn and natural spring water from Rockcastle Spring in Kentucky. Aside from a flavorless NDI Vodka, the line also includes Blood Orange and Citrus flavors. The line is currently available in the state of Georgia for $28.
