Amazon Releases Its First Single Malt Whisky

We got pretty excited when Amazon started delivering booze right to our door—sometimes in less an hour—but now the retail giant may have announced one of its most exciting features yet.

Amazon has teamed up with Bowmore to announce its first exclusive bottling of a single-malt scotch . The limited-edition expression was matured in French oak barrels from Chateau Lagrange and is bottled at 48.9 percent ABV.

The bottle will be available for $153. It’s said to feature aromas of candied apple, honey and light peat smoke, with a palate of “rich toffee, wild honey and exotic spices.”

There could be a big future in booze for Amazon, as it’s also a retailer for Johnnie Walker’s “Game of Thrones”-themed whisky.

Unfortunately, the limited release will only be available across the U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Japan for now. We sure have a lot of good reasons to take a trip to Europe these days.
