Aleksandr Russell, a bartender at Blue Bloods Steakhouse in Toronto and the creator of this cocktail inspired by wildly popular White Claw, calls it “a slightly more refined take on the most popular White Claw flavor, black cherry.”
Echoing the oft-uttered mildly anarchistic cry of White Claw drinkers, Russell declares he’s not afraid of legal threats from the seltzer brand for this imitation of its flavors and effervescent texture. “What are they gonna do? Sue me?” he asks. “Ain’t no laws, baby!”
