From Bacchus Management Group, The Saratoga hit Lower Nob Hill/Tenderloin in November 2016 with a bilevel supperclub-esque space that recalls old-school NYC. The intimate downstairs area has white tablecloths and monogrammed plates, while upstairs it’s lofty and more industrial. Both bars impressively stock more than 800 spirits.
THE DRINK TO DRINK: Barman Brandon Clements started at Bacchus’ Spruce in 2007, now also heading up The Saratoga’s drink offerings with a range of punches and variations on classic cocktails. The gin highball isn’t watery or light, though it’s refreshing and flavor-packed with fresh honeydew, tarragon and lemon.
