Christian Pappanicholas and the team behind Resto and “butcher shop by day, craft beer bar by night” The Cannibal are back with this cocktail-driven neighbor. None of the fun has been lost in this airy spot, despite the “proper” cocktails: munchies include individual pigs in a blanket and the Birder-ger, a duck and chicken foie gras smash burger. In addition to updated takes on classic and contemporary drinks, you’ll find vermouth on tap and boozy milkshakes powered by Morgenstern’s ice cream. THE DRINK TO DRINK: The Truffle Shuffle riffs on the Gold Rush (itself a milk and honey take on the classic Bee’s Knees). Here it’s made with blended scotch, chestnut honey, lemon juice and a smoky Lagavulin float. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: A raw bar and Martini service are available on a regular basis and for private parties.
