The St. Roch Market was a turn-of-the-century provisions stalwart for its namesake neighborhood, and has recently been restored as a food hall that showcases local sundries and prepared foods from a diverse roster of chefs and purveyors. There’s food and drink for most anyone here in the squeaky clean, light-filled building, which also offers a limited selection of produce and flowers from local growers and farmers. Dining options run the gamut from global eats—like homey, stick-to-your-ribs Nigerian cuisine and Korean-Creole fusion—to more familiarly New Orleans food options, including the seafood and Cajun cuisine of the Curious Oyster Company.
Know Before You Go: The official bar of St. Roch Market, Mayhaw, is located all the way in the back of the building, if you’re looking for a cocktail to sip while shopping.
