Open early seven days a week as a bakery—build-your-own biscuit sandwiches, anyone?— and coffee shop, Room 11 is an all-day hub in Columbia Heights. The dinner lineup is focused on seasonal shareable plates and charcuterie, with a diverse wine list to pair with it. Every wine on the list is available by the glass or bottle. There are also a dozen fortified wines, some carefully picked craft beers and a quality cocktail lineup that keeps the bar busy and buzzing long past last call for biscuits and coffee. THE DRINK TO DRINK: Try the Parapluie de Pamplemousse; that's the Grapefruit Umbrella to you, French speakers. It's made with cognac, pink grapefruit liqueur, Campari, lemon and Bittermens hopped grapefruit bitters. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Room 11 is worth going to on its own accord, but it also happens to be next door to Bad Saint's hours-long wait for tables, making it a prime place to ride that wait out.
