Undeniably the surest bet for seeing a great concert in the city, One Eyed Jack’s always pleases, with an impressive roster of both touring and local acts. With a self-styled “bordello-chic ambiance” and barebones decorations that feel like a nod to Twin Peaks, be prepared to stand for the length of the concert (seating is incredibly limited) or recline in the lobby and watch the passersby on Toulouse. In addition to concerts and comedy shows, OEJs frequently turns the spotlight on New Orleans’ burlesque scene, catering to those itching for the kind of performance that’s a little more feather-clad.
Know Before You Go: There are two bars at OEJs, but the one inside the main show area is consistently less crowded.
