What was once a run-down live music venue has been resurrected as the boozy bowling alley it originally began as in the 1930s. L.A. bar builder 1933 Group ambitiously renovated the deteriorating space, restoring the bowling alleys as well as adding two horseshoe bars and a quieter bar out front.
The Drink to Drink: Modern Washout, a Mexican version of a French Martini with reposado tequila, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, pineapple gomme, raspberry puree and lemon juice.
Know Before You Go: When this venue was being renovated, the owners found vintage bottles hidden in the attic since 1973. Now you can order tastes of these potable time capsules, like the Wolfschmidt premixed Vodka Martini.
