WHY HERE: Opulence reigns at The Beaufort Bar, nestled just off of the lobby inside the legendarily posh Savoy hotel. There’s a healthy sense of drama here (the golden accents don’t hurt), with drinks as spotlight-worthy as their surroundings. The cocktail menu is organized by a drink’s “character,” so to speak, but given the setting, you’d be remiss not to order one from the “rich, luxurious and indulgent” section. WHY NOW: American Bar might take top billing as The Savoy’s primary drinking spot, but there’s something that still feels furtive about sipping and snacking at The Beaufort Bar. Go (relatively) undercover here.
