WHY HERE: American Bar at The Savoy hotel is as dapper and regal as they come, with a level of polish that oozes Old World magic. Drinks are organized by different London neighborhoods, from Camden to Hackney, so come prepared to sip your way across the city with these lively creations. It is, without a doubt, London’s hotel bar to end all hotel bars. WHY NOW: A 125-year-old pedigree is nothing if not remarkable (and for other bars rightfully envy-inducing). But don’t come here just for the stories about glamorous old Hollywood stars and to play dress up for a night. At the end of the day, it’s all about the modern drinks on the menu. (If you want to drink the house-signature Hanky Panky, though, we won’t judge.)
