The Best Rum and Tiki Bars in San Francisco

Alongside Don the Beachcomber in Los Angeles, the Bay Area gave birth to the tiki movement at Trader Vic’s, back in the 1930s. So it stands to reason that rum and tiki culture have deep roots here. San Francisco is now home to one of the greatest tiki bars in the world, Smuggler’s Cove, and longtime rum dives abound, including Hobson’s Choice’s 200-plus rum collection in the Haight Ashbury and the transporting tiki setting and jukebox at Oakland’s Kona Club.
