This should be stirred not shaken. It makes it so much more smooth, savory, and beautiful. When you shake it, it's cloudy and light. Not what it's supposed to be at all. Also do a full ounce of dry vermouth. I like Dolin's. And 2 dashes of orange bitters. The flavors come together much better when stirred. It's a world of difference.
This should be stirred. Try a full ounce of Dolin's dry vermouth. It's a beautiful, savory, silky cocktail that way. You're not doing it right and hardly having a good drink this way. And 2 good dashes of orange bitters. Regan's adds a bit of sweetness to bring a nice balance of flavors.
So why is this one not stirred?
