Tequila and watermelon is a woefully underused combination.
In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slice.
Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice.
Shake for 10 seconds and double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
*Watermelon-Basil Purée INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Purée both ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. Refrigerate until needed.

Traditionally the Tequila Mockingbird is made with creme de menthe, so folks that make & try this one first might be in for a little surprise when they order it at a bar ;)
