Exactly. Don't buy that Rose's sh*t. If you have to buy grenadine, go to a good liquor store and pick up some Stirrings brand grenadine. Ideally, though, you should make your own at home. Same goes for simple syrup.
That all depends upon your grenadine. The artificially colored kind makes a pinker drink, but a homemade version has a subtler color.
This drink is actually pink.
