The Negroni is a classic Italian drink. Order a Negroni and you’ll be sure to Impress your bartender.
Add all of the ingredients to an Old Fashioned glass and fill with ice.
Stir until cold, and garnish with an orange half-wheel.

The drink is named after a Camillo Negroni, a Florentine count: http://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/06/style/shaken-and-stirred-dressing-italian.html
The Villa Negroni website says it's named after a Count C.A. Negroni from Milan, who bought the place in 1910. The time period is right, but the city isn't.
Either way, the Negroni cocktail is definitely not named for the Villa Negroni. However, both the cocktail and the villa may be named after the same man.
