This cocktail was created by Frank Torres at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse for Cognac Classics Week, presented by Liquor.com and Hennessy VSOP Privilège.
Rinse a chilled Martini glass with absinthe, discarding any excess, and set aside.
Add the cognac, simple syrup and bitters to a mixing glass, and fill with ice.
Stir and strain into the prepared glass.
Garnish with the lemon peel.
