    quality gin making is than an infusion, like steeping a tea bag, but rather the spices and botanicals are placed inline during the reflux distillation where the steam and alcohol vapor permeates and extracts the essential oils which contribute the flavors and scents. you may do just as well to boil the botanicals in water and use this to dilute grain alcohol to 80 proof than to infuse with these kits - just an idea for those adventurous few.
