    Figuratively, I grew up in the same neighborhood and same time as David Wondrich. My mother favored The Old-Fashioned, my dad was a firm Manhattan (sweet) man. However, neither of them would have turned-down a Whiskey Sour.

    I challenge this web-site and Mr. Wondrich to provide me with an accurate recipe for a Pink Lady, a common after-dinner drink of the times.

    Thanks for this -- it's next on my list of cocktails to try. Recently I thought I had invented something new, lime juice, sugar, and gin, but discovered it is basically a Gin Rickey minus the club soda. "There is nothing new under the sun."
