I live in Denver Colorado. It is better to use wax or shatter in drinks. It usually doesn't need to be activated and it dissolves in alcohol. If you have to activate it you can use a hair straighter with parchment paper. No smell cooking and not much taste added to your drink. 1 gram is good for 2 people unless your a heavy user.

"A government that cannot tell me what can come out of my mouth, should not be able to tell me what can go into my mouth ! Milton Friedman. I Find this article extremely pertinent on an alcohol related site due to the fact that the prohibition of both alcohol and marijuana, have traveled similar paths through history! Both are terrible failures and both spawned a violent, terrible black market with criminal gang lords making insane profits! And just like the government poisoning alcohol during prohibition and Paraquat spraying marijuana, the govt "Of the People, by the People and for the People" really doesn't give SQUAT about the People if they disobey! So "fire one up!" and "tilt the glass" to the free, rebellious spirit of America!

I subscribed to this site BECAUSE of this article. The Manhattan has been one of my favorites for years, and cannabis has been fun for even longer. Great combo for those of us that value our personal taste and discretion. I'd try it even if I didn't live in a "legal" state.

I am very interested in this article and any more that are like them. I am hoping that my state will legalize pot really soon as medically it is known to help pain like mine. I cannot smoke it due to lung problems, would of course make the brownies but this is a wonderful idea! I agree with others that legalizing pot would really be a good thing for many of us with a myriad of physical ailments. People get addicted to booze, gambling and many other things so why is there a line drawn on this? Thank you Liquor.com for a great article. BTW, I am a 65 year old woman and I find all of this refreshing!

This was an interesting read, and something that I would contemplate trying if I lived in a state where it was legal to do so.

Jamie and Jimmy get real!!! It is just a friggin' drink recipe! We are all adults and have the right to chose what we will drink and not drink. Your kind of narrow mindedness does not belong in this century. Kudos to the Liquor.com staff for continuing to be innovative and interesting.

Chill out! Man, pot should be mandatory for some people.
Jamie and Jimmy, delete if you wish, but closing your eyes and whining about marijuana
will not make it go away. It's too valuable.
Ask those of us who no longer need to take addictive pain pharmaceuticals because od cannabis.
