this article is called "the 10 American Pinots Worth Splurging On Now"
Why don't you start looking at some Merry Edwards Winery or Inman Family Pinots, they are worth splurging on. you can't think that most people reading this would think that 20 bucks is splurging

oh heck no. CA does not have all of the best pinot noirs (you did include one from OR). This article feels a little bit stilted...

I have not had the pleasure to try any of these Pinots- but I also agree with previous comments on the lack of Oregon Pinots! The Yamhill/Carlton Oregon area provide some of the best!

Too many California pinots. The best are being made in the Willamette Valley.

There is some exceptional Pinot coming out of Walla Walla, Wash. The only problem is, you can't get it.

All good selections. While California lays claim to many of the best styles being made in America today, the most interesting Pinot noir outside of France is being made in Oregon. With one, albeit solid selection, this list is woefully lacking in those (Oregon) labels worth splurging for.
